The St. Michael’s College of Laguna, formerly known as the Biñan College, offers basic education from kindergarten to senior high school, college degree programs, and graduate studies. Two public elementary schools are also within the vicinity of Althea Residences such as Mamplasan Elementary School (3 kilometers) and Biñan Elementary School (4 kilometers).

In addition, Althea Residences is easily accessible to churches such as the Blessed Sacrament Parish and Sto. Niño Chapel, both less than a kilometer away. For necessities or shopping and leisure time, there are plenty of commercial establishments nearby that will cater to the residents. The Puregold Biñan, one of the prominent chains of supermarkets in the country, is located at approximately 2.4 kilometers away from Althea Residences. SM City Sta. Rosa, on the other hand, is the first ever SM mall established in Laguna province and a major shopping mall in Sta. Rosa City. It is located approximately within the 6 kilometers distance from the community. Other shopping venues within the area are the Pavillion Mall, the Central Mall Biñan, and the Laguna Technopark.

The City of Biñan is a first-class component city in Laguna province and the third largest city in the province in terms of population. It houses several industrial sites and export processing zones which provide jobs for the citizens of Biñan and nearby towns.
